Owen chose to forego a birthday party this year, and instead bring a couple of friends along to a Royals game. The game fell ON his actual birthday, so we had the boys over early for some lunch, cookie cake, and ice cream before they headed off to the game with Colby.

It turned out to be an amazing game to see - the Royals made one of the best comebacks in history by scoring 7 runs the 9th inning. Final score: 8-7.

A lot of fans had left by the 9th inning, but Owen's birthday crew stuck it out and got to see the whole thing play out. He was exhausted after a day of cookie cake and cotton candy sugar highs and boy craziness and the Royals roller coaster day with friends, but I'd say it was a successful birthday for my boy.

During prayers that night, he wanted to thank God "for all my dreams coming true." <3 div="">
