After what seemed like a month straight of dreary and rainy days, seeing sunlight, contrasting shadows, and the vibrant pink petals on my dry(ish) sidewalks gave me some extra pep for my step.
Since Fridays have officially been claimed by baseball, our weekend dinner with our neighbors got bumped to Saturday. The kids were closing their eyes while we hid Easter eggs for them to find. So cute, right?
The gang's all here. It was weather perfection, and we love sharing our weekends with these people.
Sunday morning we made a game time decision to do church at home. It was our first warm morning, so we got to enjoy our tea/coffee from our back porch while gettin' our Jesus on via AirPlay on the outside tube. All the while the kids self-entertained without any major fights or tears breaking out. I was feeling all the happy feelings.
Our neighborhood had an egg hunt on Sunday afternoon - we showed up in less than our Easter best, and were happy to see Annabelle there, too. :)
We also had Owen's first game of the season with the Sharks. The team didn't fair so well, but it was fun to be back on the fields to watch!
I really liked this weekend. You?
